Avtor Osip Šest je bil leta 1915 v ruskem ujetništvu. Po oktobrski revoluciji se je zaposlil v gledališču v Rjazanu in v Moskovskem narodnem domu. V Rusiji se je seznanil z gledališčem K. S. Stanislavskega. V tej e-knjigi opisuje življenje in delo ujetnikov v tedanji Rusiji ter njihovo vrnitev nazaj v domovino.
