Zofko Kveder poznamo po njenem prizadetem pisanju glede slovenskega izseljencev. Prav o tem govori tudi drama Amerikanci. Rodila se je v Ljubljani in bila med drugim tudi urednica in sourednica revij. Pisala je tako romane, kot tudi povesti in dramska dela.
